NCDRC - Non Communicable Diseases Research Center

Main Team

E BahramaliDirector of NCDRC,

I was born and raised in Shiraz where the great Persian poet, Saa’di lived. inspired by his famous saying:

Adam’s sons are body limbs, to say;

For they’re created of the same clay.

Should one organ be troubled by pain,

Others would suffer severe strain.

Thou, careless of people’s suffering,

Deserve not the name, “human being”.

I pursued a life in medicine. After graduation in 2007 with high distinction from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, I followed my dreams to become a cardiologist and in 2011 attained the National Board of Cardiology certification with a handful of valuable experiences at the heart of Iranian Heart Association, Shahid Rajaee Hospital, Tehran. Meanwhile a passion through research motivated me to engage in a couple of research activities which resulted in a few publications early in my career. Since my graduation in 2011 I’ve served as a faculty member of cardiology department in Fasa University of Medical Sciences where we established the NCD research center and designed and are conducting a population based cohort study with special interest in CV outcomes. Besides as the director of FaRMI (Fasa registry of myocardial infarction) and FaRSH (Fasa registry for systolic heart failure) I’ve been eagerly following the practice of cardiology with primary focus on improving the quality of care and applying state of the art research findings.

My research interests include regional, geographical and genetic determinants of CV diseases disparities as well as social and behavioral interventions to improve CV outcomes.
