Statute of the Research Center for Non-Communicable Diseases

Fasa University of Medical Sciences – Vice-Chancellor for Research and Technology

Article 1 – Establishment

The center was formally approved to expand research and provide solutions in health and medical services.

 

Article 2 – Objectives

  • Raise public awareness and train specialists in non-communicable diseases

  • Establish a comprehensive database and biobank for research use

  • Transfer new knowledge and technologies in diagnosis, treatment, and research

  • Recruit and empower skilled human resources

  • Conduct fundamental epidemiological and clinical studies to improve health services

  • Implement high-evidence projects, including clinical trials

  • Publish research in reputable national and international journals

  • Organize workshops, training courses, congresses, and seminars

  • Collaborate with national and international research centers

  • Provide scientific, technical, and consulting services

  • Support student ideas and collaborate with knowledge-based companies

  • Disseminate research achievements internationally

  • Participate in editorial boards of international journals

 

Article 3 – Structure

  • Supreme Council

  • Director of the Center

 

Article 4 – Supreme Council Members

  • University President

  • Vice-Chancellor for Research

  • Vice-Chancellor for Health Affairs

  • Director of the Center

  • Three faculty members (proposed by the Director, approved by the University President)

 

Article 5 – Duties of the Supreme Council

  • Approve research policies

  • Approve collaborations with national and international institutions

  • Review and approve annual reports and budgets

  • Approve internal regulations and organizational structure

 

Article 6 – Appointment of Director

Director appointed every 4 years by University President upon recommendation of the Supreme Council (reappointment allowed).

 

Article 7 – Duties of the Director

Highest executive authority, responsible for implementing council decisions and assigned tasks.

 

Article 8 – Research Council

  • Director (Chair)

  • Deputy for Research (Secretary)

  • Five faculty members (Deputy appointed by Director for 4 years)

 

Article 9 – Duties of the Research Council

  • Plan and determine research policies

  • Review and approve proposals

  • Assign supervisors and monitor project implementation

 

Article 10 – Membership

  • Permanent members: full-time faculty and staff of the Center

  • Affiliated members: faculty from other departments or universities

 

Article 11 – Financial Resources

  • Income from services provided by the Center

  • Donations from individuals and organizations

  • Governmental allocations (if provided)
