During the meeting, council members highlighted the importance of directing research toward local health priorities, improving health data registration and management, and fostering interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration to enhance research quality and impact.
University officials emphasized that the council will play a key role in supporting high-quality, applied research and promoting evidence-based solutions to major health challenges. They also announced that calls for innovative research proposals will be released in the near future to encourage broader participation by faculty members and researchers.
